Vivek Mahbubani is a Hong Kong-bred bilingual stand-up comedian performing in both Cantonese and English. Having been crowned the Funniest Person (in Chinese) in Hong Kong in 2007 followed by his victory in the English category at
the Hong Kong International Comedy Competition in 2008, Vivek has had the opportunity to take his sense of humor all over the world including Hong Kong, China, Macau, Singapore, Malaysia, Philippines, Thailand, Sri Lanka, India,
Australia, Canada and USA.
In 2014, the World Famous Laugh Factory in USA ranked Vivek as one of the top 10 comedians in their Annual Funniest Person in the World Competition.
In 2015, he was handpicked as one of the comedians to represent Asia’s best in Melbourne International Comedy Festival’s inaugural “Comedy Zone Asia” shows.
In 2016, he was featured in Comedy Central’s first ever “Stand up Asia!” shows. One of Vivek’s passions is reading and his favorite book is Sun Tzu’s Art of War. Oddly, his favorite color is hot pink.
Tim Chan is the main performer in stand up comedy group “Hall of Laughs." Tim started his comedy career in 2011, he won 2011 Hong Kong International Comedy Competition and he did an opening act in Hall of laughs headliner Vivek
Mahbubani’s one man show. In 2015, Tim did his first one man show and did an opening act in HK famous Radio DJ Cheuk Wan Chi’s one woman show.
Tim is not only active in Hong Kong, he also performed in Mainland, Macau, Taiwan, Malaysia, Singapore & Australia.
In 2017, Tim was invited by TEDxYOUTH to be a TEDx speaker.
A mainstay in the Hong Kong comedy scene, he was featured on Comedy Central’s “Stand Up Asia!” season 2, and was the winner of the 2018 Hong Kong International Comedy Competition. He has made people laugh on stage in 37 cities
across 18 countries, mostly in Asia.
He has performed with world class acts such as Jim Gaffigan, Hannibal Buress, Ari Shaffir, Tony Woods, Roy Wood Jr., Pete Lee, Alonzo Bodden, Paul Ogata and many more. On stage you will find him talking about his wife, his dog, which
one he loves more, as well as if he is too Asian or not Asian enough. All while making people laugh along the way.
Oh, he also rocks the best eyebrows.
"Don’t let the suit fool you, he’s killed before” – Andy Curtain, Founder, Kung Fu Komedy
“Some comedians are funny. Garron is fun and funnier” – Vivek Mahbubani, Asian Comedy Legend
Pete Grella is a Hong Kong-based stand-up comedian and improviser who has been cutting up audiences around Asia for over 11 years. In addition to being a regular performer in Hong Kong, Pete has performed in New York City and all
over Asia. He has also hosted or opened for a long list of visiting international comics, including Tom Cotter, Paul Ogata, Tom Segura, Ruben Paul, Barry Hilton and Ari Shaffir. Pete’s sets often dissect life as an expat (and just trying to fit in,
in general), though he’s never afraid to poke fun at himself and his own bad habits. He also likes to engage the audience, so if you're sitting up front, be ready to chat!
“Pete Grella is one of the shining stars of the Hong Kong comedy scene. Stand-up, improv, sketch, Pete does it all!” - Paul Ogata (International Comedian and Porn Star)
“Pete uses his experiences in life and in living abroad to poke fun at himself, to share his take on life, and to explore just trying to fit in. Which is all just a polite way to say he's broken down, old and lives far away... but is still damn funny. His
clever comedy is laugh-out-loud funny, and his improvisational skills will have the audience in stitches before they even know what’s hit them!” - Tom Cotter (Runner-up “America’s Got Talent” Season 7)
After immigrating to Canada at the age of 7, Tamby developed his sense of humor as a social defense mechanism in lieu of speaking fluent English. He has been continuously refining his comedic voice through trial and error ever since.
Tamby represented Hong Kong in Laugh Factory’s Funniest Person in the World Contest, was the winner of the Bangkok division of the Magners International Comedy Competition 2018, placed second at the regional finals, has been
selected as a finalist at numerous international comedy festivals, and has appeared on TV like four times.
“He’s so easy. So natural. And what’s even better, he’s so topical. ” - Barry Hilton
Ryan Hynek is a Chicago native who’s been yucking it up on the Asia Comedy circuit since 2007. Knowing that comedy won’t pay the rent in his 300 foot ‘deluxe’ apartment in the sky, Ryan works full-time as a secondary school English
teacher. He’s the first to admit that he uses his students as guinea pigs for his brand of observational humor and finds success in their puzzled looks. He’s a top three finalist in the Hong Kong International Comedy Festival and has played
clubs around the world from Chicago to Hanoi. You can find Ryan poking around the comedy clubs in HK most weekends.
"One of my favorite comedians to watch live. Guaranteed to get people to stay at your cruise ship bar 30 minutes longer." - Turner Sparks
Bryan Bentley has been performing stand-up comedy in Hong Kong since 2018. In that short time, he has performed at Take-Out Comedy as well as Backstage Comedy and several venues around Hong Kong Island and Kowloon, as well
as several shows in Shenzhen and Xiamen China. Bryan is a regular at the Bar 109 open mic on Mondays and hosts The Aftermath Open Mic weekly. With a mix of observational comedy about being a self-proclaimed “Boujie Ass Negro”
along with a dose of healthy self-reflection, his energetic personality, and unique look always brings a good time.
Ruggedly good looking, maestro on the guitar, and our generation’s Oscar Wilde are all terms never used to describe Bav. But if you’re in the market for one-liners, self deprecation and observations around Hong Kong delivered through the
medium of catchy little riffs - then he’s your guy.
“A wiz with words and a wily wit. Bhavin Bhuptani is a joy to watch." - Matthew “MattQuiz” Hutchinson
Jason Strickland is an English stand up comic who started in London 2010. Since then he has performed across the globe and is one of the top comedians in Hong Kong. His natural stage presence and quick-witted crowdwork make all of
his performances uniquely engaging, with no two sets ever quite the same. With his wide arsenal of stories and easy demeanor, you'll get swept up in his world between bouts of laughter before you even notice it. Don't miss out on this rising
"I especially loved Jason Strickland, he was witty and fast on his feet." - TripAdvisor
Rose Rage has been doing comedy in Hong Kong since what seems like the beginning of time, but is actually only 13 years or so, mostly in pants. She’s a founding member of People’s Liberation Improv, and has performed with them in
Beijing, Seoul, Manila, Macau, and Hong Kong, in pants. Although she never won, she was a finalist in TakeOut Comedy’s Funniest Person competition and has opened for Paul Ogata and Tom Cotter, in pants. Recently she decided to
shake things up a bit and do standup without pants, but the horrified reaction of the audience led her to believe that performing in a dress would be… better.
She hasn’t actually been on TV, but has watched more than nine programmes, both with and without pants
“Tim's jokes sound like someone recalling a night out whilst it's still happening and somehow funnier” - Ashley James
Tim To is a Chinese Canadian comedian, he grew up in Toronto and has spent about a decade living in Hong Kong. His comedic style explores his unhinged interpretation of his experiences and defines his own brand of logic. In 2020, he
was the winner of BushiRoast 4 and continues to explore his comedic style in shows throughout Hong Kong.
Nicole is the newest member in the comedy scene, only starting her comedy career in November 2021. She is already one of the most popular comedians, garnering almost 25,000 followers on her Instagram page, which is filled with funloving comedic videos.
During the day, Nicole works as a doctor in Paediatrics. She often uses comedy in the hospital to cheer her patients’ up (obviously while saving their lives).
Prior to comedy, she has taken the big stage as an emcee for the past 9 years. Nicole previously hosted large ceremonies and conferences, and now makes inappropriate jokes in basements.
