Elis Paprika is an independent singer-songwriter from Guadalajara, Mexico.

Elis has been an active and important part of Mexico’s Rock scene since 2004. She has performed 3 times at Auditorio Nacional in México City, along with Julieta Venegas in 2007, Belanova in 2008, and Juan Gabriel in 2009. She has performed in three Vive Latino Festivals in México City, first in 2006, in 2011, and again in 2014. She was named “Band of the Month” on MTV Latin America in August 2006. Musicians in her band have varied with the years, and her current band is called The Black Pilgrims. Elis started her career in Guadalajara Jalisco, Mexico. She has released 6 records to date, Give Me Love with Suave Records and distributed by Sony Music México in 2006, EP2 in 2007, Express distributed by EMI Music México in 2009, Maldito with Dragora Records and distributed by Warner Chapell in 2010, Animal with Dragora Records, and Adiós with Drágora Records in 2013. She also released the single "Love Love Love" in 2011 which is expected to be included in her next álbum. She was also a part of the tribute álbum Amo al Divo de Juarez with her versión of “Hasta Que Te Conocí” by Juan Gabriel,[8] as well as the tribute album Tributo A: Ana José Nacho (Mecano) with her version of "No Tienes Nada Que Perder" by Mecano. Elis Paprika, cantantey compositora, originaria de Guadalajara Jalisco, celebra 10 años de carrera este 2015, junto a sus Black Pilgrims, con una enorme gira que, hasta ahora, incluye más de 60 fechas en México, Estados Unidos y China! Siendo la primera vez que Elis Paprika visita China, ha preparado un set muy especial para sus dos presentaciones, el 1 y 2 de mayo en Meet in Beijing Arts Festival 2015.



Meet in Beijing Arts Festival es uno de los principales festivales culturales con artistas internacionales que organiza el Ministro de Cultura en China. Celebrado anualmente desde el año 2000, Meet in Beijing promueve el intercambio cultural a nivel internacional, enfocando una gran parte de sí en Latino América y el Caribe

Para Elis Paprika y sus Black Pilgrims, visitar por primera vez un país Asiático es parte del gran crecimiento que ha tenido en estos primeros 10 años de carrera, y la manera perfecta de conocer un lugar tan lejano, mágico y diferente a México.
