HKFP presents a festive evening of poetry, music, dance and more at Orange Peel. Join us for a veritable showcase of Hong Kong's most talented artists, with more than enough political humour to tide you over until the New Year.
Celebrate our first six months as the city’s only independent, non-profit English-language news source and meet the team. All proceeds from the event will go towards HKFP's operational costs.
Our line-up features:
Jeffrey Anello: One half of Hong Kong's "Best Local Band".
Rye Bautista: Performance artist. Dancer. Storyteller.
Crimes Against Pop: Host of RTHK3's Pop Fugitives, CAP is one of Hong Kong's most captivating DJ teams.
Beatrice Wong: Transgender storyteller Beatrice Wong is one of Hong Kong's most touching and personal storytellers.
Peel Street Poetry: Peel Street Poetry is a must see spoken word event in Hong Kong. The troupe make poetry accessible and fun for everyone!
TBC Improv: One of Hong Kong's new and most talked about groups on the comedy scene recently performed a sell-out, Star Wars themed show at the Fringe Club in October.
The Harmonics: The Harmonics are dedicated to performing beautiful music and inspiring choral singing for the LGBT community.
Tim Hamlett: Tim is an HKFP advisor and former Standard editor – he is also a talented piper. He will be bringing Christmas cheer to the event with a little highland spirit.
Raffle & Auction: Raffle and silent auction items provided by Hong Kong businesses valued at over HK$8,000.
