Welcome to the 20th edition of Hong Kong International Literary Festival (HKILF)!

In these unprecedented times we have re-imagined what a literary festival could and should look like. Thanks to the generous participation of authors around the world and partners here in Hong Kong, we bring you a hybrid programme of 75 virtual, live and hybrid events featuring more than 120 local, regional and international authors.

This year HKILF is more accessible than ever before, thanks to virtual programming, Chinese language events, event subtitles and a flexible pricing structure.

Tickets sales open on 7 October, initially for donors and the sale of Festival Passes, with early bird sales from 15 October, and general ticketing from 20 October.

The programme offers something of interest to everyone, so please browse events on Ticketflap and visit HKILF’s website at festival.org.hk for full programme details.

The Hong Kong International Literary Festival (HKILF), founded in 2001, celebrates its 20th anniversary this year. HKILF is an annual event held over ten days in autumn, featuring established and emerging writers from around the world in a programme that includes book talks, panel discussions, readings, poetry performance, open mics and writing workshops. HKILF is organized and coordinated by Hong Kong International Literary Festival Limited, a non-profit, charitable literary arts organization which also manages the annual Young Readers Festival (YRF).
