Hong Kong Young People's Chorus

Hong Kong Young People’s Chorus (HKYPC), a local non-profit-making organisation, was founded in 2005, with members consist of choral enthusiasts from both local and international choral scene; some members come from prominent participating schools in the Hong Kong Schools Music Festival, and achieved considerable attainments in vocal or instrumental music. The Chorus’ repertoire spans from sacred to popular music, from classical to contemporary genres, striving to expose everyone to music of different styles and languages. To date, HKYPC has offered Bach’s St. John Passion and Magnificat in D, BWV 243, Mozart’s Vesperae Solennes de Confessore, Vaughan Williams’ Three Shakespeare Songs, Durufle’s Requiem, Rutter’s Requiem (chamber version), Ward Swingle’s Music History 101, Ticheli’s Constellation, as well as premiering pieces by budding local and contemporary composers.
