Make & Do HK

Make & Do HK is a creative platform set up by two sisters; Becky Gilmour whose background is in Textiles & Fashion and Lucy Gilmour whose specialism is in Crafts & Embroidery. They set out with a vision to provide a place for creatives to learn, for artists to collaborate and bring together a community of like minded individuals. To inspire fellow designer makers, cultivating creativity in a loving and supportive environment. Brought together through a need to immerse fully into the exploration of craft, to share knowledge, to pass on age old skills and techniques in a way that is relatable to now. They run workshops at ‘Three Keys Craft Space’ in Chai Wan, as well as working within schools, hosting corporate team building workshops and running events at other locations around Hong Kong. Teaching with their own cheeky spin on traditional handmade crafts, e.g. ''Not Your Grandma’s Embroidery''. Other popular workshops include; tapestry weaving, macramé, printing, wood & paper crafts.
