Ministry of Sound x Volar presents SANTERO

Event Closed

More Details

Santero has been rocking dancefloors across the world for well over a decade, carving a reputation as one of the most versatile party-starters in the business. Having shared the decks with everyone from Jazzy Jeff to Diplo to Basement Jaxx, in 2010 he entered his one and only DJ competition, gaining the votes of A-Trak & Kissy Sellout to win the UK Red Bull Thre3style title ahead of the likes of Oneman & Martelo, and going on to represent the UK in the World Final in Paris.

His progress has seen him taken on as an official resident at Ministry of Sound, cementing his position as a DJ on the rise, and seeing him travel the world to play to crowds everywhere from Italy to India, Bali to Belgium and beyond, with the club picking him to warm up The Box (their legendary main room) for their 22nd birthday with Armand Van Helden. MTV flew Santero to Berlin to headline their “Someone Like Me” party on World Aids Day, where a typically diverse set rocked Avenue to its foundations, while Global Gathering saw him taking to the main stage on Saturday 26th July for possibly his biggest show yet, alongside The Prodigy, Knife Party, Annie Mac & Madeon!

Santero is now making waves with his productions, gaining support from all corners of the DJing world, including having a track featured on Riva Starr’s Snatch Records Best of 2012 (Remember When), a Beatport #2 (Drop The Bomb) and a Junodownload #2(We Bring The Vibes). His latest single “Why They Trippin?” gained support from the likes of Zombie Disco Squad, B.Traits, Crookers, Gorgon City, Zinc and many more, earning plays on Radio 1 and 1xtra before reaching the #12 in the Beatport charts.

Equally at home pushing the boundaries of modern house music as he is rolling back the years and scratching and juggling his way through old skool beats, Santero is a true DJ’s DJ, and a definite crowd-favourite. At the Door: $300 (before 12.30am) / $4350 (after 12.30am), both with two drinks
