More Details

Simon Evans is well known in Britain from performing on huge shows like Live at the Apollo, Stand Up for the Week and he’s a regular on BBC Radio 4, where his own hugely successful, acclaimed radio show Simon Evans Goes To Market returns for a fourth series in Spring 2018. He is also a regular on Radio 4’s legendary The News Quiz.
Simon also makes regular contributions on Andrew Neil’s This Week on BBC One and on live radio, e.g. Radio Five’s Afternoon Edition.
Simon is hugely popular at the Edinburgh festival – where he has performed brand new shows five times in the last eight years alone and on his own subsequent live tours of the country. Evans excels in routines that are adult in the best sense of the word. He is particularly sought after by audiences wanting an angle subtly distinct from the knee jerk, left wing / liberal take on the world so prevalent in the comedy world!
Described as ‘demonically dry’ (Dominic Maxwell, Metro) and ‘sublime’ (William Cook, The Guardian), Simon is a firm favourite on the sports and fundraising after-dinner speaking circuit and at corporate events. He performs regularly for charity organisations such as the Variety Club and the Lords Taverners. His style of comedy, his ability to perform an entirely clean set without compromising on the laughs (but also to ‘strengthen’ the language when appropriate, without descending into vulgarity) and his relative maturity and reference points have made him a great hit with audiences of all ages.
Simon Evans is considered by many comedians as one of the best in the industry!
