UBS Hong Kong Open 2016

Hong Kong’s oldest professional sporting event - considered one of the “jewels in the crown” of Asian golf – is on track to deliver yet another world-class golfing spectacle to Hong Kong.

Held at the historic Hong Kong Golf Club in Fanling, the Hong Kong Open will once again be sanctioned by both the European and Asian Tours, and the Hong Kong Golf Association. This is the 58th edition of the event and it promises to showcase world class golfers and outstanding family entertainment, including free concerts on the Friday and Saturday evenings.

As one of the most prestigious golf tournaments in the region, the tournament has remarkably seen 10 Major winners play and win here. These legends include Hall-of-Famers Peter Thomson, Tom Watson, Greg Norman, Bernhard Langer and José María Olazábal - a list of champions unrivalled by any other tournament in the region. Recent winners include Colin Montgomerie, Padraig Harrington, Lin Wen-tang, Grégory Bourdy, Ian Poulter, Rory McIlroy, Miguel Angel Jiménez, Scott Hend, and Justin Rose, the current champion.
