The Hong Kong Golf Club
Hong Kong Golf Club
Hong Kong Golf Club is one of Asia’s most historic golf clubs and has been at the forefront of golf development in Hong Kong ever since its foundation in 1889. The Club, which comprises three world-class courses at its Fanling site – the Old, New and Eden – and a nine-hole layout at Deep Water Bay, established the Hong Kong Open, the city’s first professional sporting event, in 1959 and has hosted every edition since. Championship golf is at the heart of the Club’s fabric. It is home to the annual Hong Kong Ladies Open and in 2020 will host the World Amateur Team Championships for a second time. Visitors can be assured of a very warm welcome - and of the more than 116,000 rounds that were played on the courses during 2018, approximately 45 per cent were played by non-members. A dedicated supporter of local charitable concerns, the Club also hosts numerous events for the benefit of worthy causes throughout the year.
