The Fukuoka Castle is located in the middle of the city. Completed in the early Edo period for Kanbei Kuroda's son Nagamasa Kuroda. During the Edo Period (1603-1867), Fukuoka Castle used to be the largest castle on Kyushu. There are many stonewalls, baileys and some Yagura are remaining in this castle. It has also beautiful Plum forest and Sakrua trees.
